Robert Lee Elementary Home Based Learning Update

    Dear Parents/Guardians:

It is hard to believe that we are completing our 2nd week of home based learning.   Our staff is very pleased with the way the first week went.   We are looking forward to continued success in the future weeks.  We handed out our 2nd week packets on Monday, March 30th and these packets will need to be returned on Monday April 6th.  Same time as before: 9:00-10:00 if getting a meal and 11:30-12:30 if not getting a meal.  This will be for drop off only and a packet pick up for those that have notified me or the teacher that they needed a paper packet.

We would like for all students to transition from paper based packets to online learning.  Please visit your child’s teacher website for any teacher instructions.  These websites will be updated weekly and will be the central hub of where you will receive future instructions for each classroom.

How to get to your child’s teacher website

    1. Go to rlisd.net
    2. Move arrow over elementary and click on elementary staff directory.
    3. Click on your teacher’s website on the right side of the screen.

If you are unable to see the teacher websites or will be unable to transition to online learning please contact me at lee.mccown@rlisd.net or email your child’s teacher at their email address.  If you are needing a laptop or tablet for your child please complete the technology survey on our schools website if you have not done so already. Our goal is to be completely online by April 6th, should we still be in our home based learning program.  Packets will still be available at parent’s request.

Teachers will continue monitoring student participation and performance on all assignments.  Please make sure your child is completing the work that has been assigned to them either by paper based packets or online.  Thank you for your efforts and flexibility during this process.

    Sincerely,

    Lee McCown

    Elementary Principal
